Linda Gallant

Before joining the LitLife team as a writer and content creator, Linda worked as a proposal analyst and writer for Pearson VUE, the professional assessment arm of Pearson PLC. She has held a variety of roles in the publishing industry, including working as a publicist for Princeton University Press and as the assistant to the editor of This Old House magazine, a publication of Time Inc.

In addition to her work with LitLife, Linda is the editorial director of The Head & The Hand Press (H&H), a nonprofit publisher and writer’s workshop based in Philadelphia. H&H is dedicated to providing support and resources to writers of all experience levels and to publishing books that have the power to promote change and entertain. She oversees visioning for all of H&H’s editorial endeavors, including the Breadbox Chapbook Series, sold out of a custom countertop vending machine, and a modern-day almanac series inspired by Ben Franklin’s Poor Richard’s Almanack, first printed in Philadelphia. She is interested in the dynamics of writing communities and building the necessary foundation for allowing the creative process to take flight.

Linda earned her B.A. in English from The College of New Jersey and her M.A. in English and American Literature from New York University. She lives near Philadelphia.
