Suzanne Zulauf

Prior to joining LitLife, Suzanne worked for nine years as an elementary teacher and middle school Language Arts teacher in Virginia. She found her love of teaching middle school after coordinating a mentoring program for middle school girls and training college women to become effective mentors for the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education and Women’s Center. Throughout her classroom teaching career, Suzanne focused on implementing new technologies that advanced student storytelling. Suzanne served as a cooperating teacher for student teachers in the Education schools of Virginia Commonwealth University, Randolph Macon College, and the University of Richmond. Suzanne earned her National Board Certification in Early Adolescence – English Language Arts in 2014 from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. After meeting these highest standards in the teaching profession through reflection and analysis, Suzanne hopes to help the teachers in her consulting work learn how to improve their own teaching by embracing reflective practice. Suzanne received a Bachelors of Arts degree in English and a Masters of Teaching degree in both Elementary Education and English Education from the University of Virginia.
